NJPW G1 Climax night 12 quick results, updated standings
Korakuen Hall played host to G1 action as night 12 of the tournament took place on Thursday.
The lead Konosuke Takeshita holds at the top of A Block has narrowed with him losing to Shingo Takagi today. Takeshita is now tied with Oleg Boltin, who moved up to 10 points with a win over Yota Tsuji. After the top two, Tsuji, Takagi, and Ryohei Oiwa are next at eight points with SANADA, Yuto Ice, and Jake Lee all having six. Trailing behind are the now-eliminated Hirooki Goto and Great-O-Khan at four points.

As things stand right now, Takeshita is still in first place due to the victory he holds over Boltin from earlier in the tournament. Boltin would advance to the semifinals in second place. But there are still a couple of days of A Block matches left that will determine which two make it out of the block.
Up next is a B Block event on Saturday, with A Block then back in action on Sunday. There are five shows in total remaining before the August 15 semifinals and August 16 finals.
