NJPW G1 Climax night eight results, updated standings
Konosuke Takeshita became the first A Block wrestler to reach eight points as he picked up another victory on Wednesday.
At night eight of the G1 Climax, Takeshita improved his tournament record to 4-1 with a win over Great-O-Khan. There were also victories for Yota Tsuji, Shingo Takagi, Ryohei Oiwa, and Oleg Boltin on the show. Here are the quick results:
– A Block: Yota Tsuji defeated Yuto-Ice
– A Block: Shingo Takagi defeated Hirooki Goto
– A Block: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Great-O-Khan
– A Block: Ryohei Oiwa defeated SANADA
– A Block: Oleg Boltin defeated Jake Lee
– Zack Sabre Jr. & Hartley Jackson defeated Ren Narita & Dick Togo
– OSKAR & Gedo defeated Drilla Moloney & Daiki Nagai

Aside from Takeshita, everyone in A Block either has six points (Tsuji, Oiwa, and Boltin) or four points (Goto, Lee, Great-O-Khan, Yuto-Ice, SANADA, and Takagi). The tournament still has more than two weeks left before it concludes on August 16.
