NJPW reveals partial list of particpants for G1 Climax 36
The first entrants for the G1 Climax tournament have been revealed.
Fourteen of the twenty entrants have been announced for this year’s tournament, which will begin on July 11 at the NOW Arena in Illinois and will conclude on August 15 at Sumo Hall. Most notably, Gabe Kidd of AEW was announced for the tournament. He’s been out of action with a shoulder injury since AEW Dynasty back in April.
Three spots in each block remain empty. The winners of the IWGP Tag Team title match at Dominion on Sunday between The Knock Out Brothers and HENARE & Great-O-Khan will be automatically entered in the tournament. The last four spots will be determined via play-in matches that will take place during the Road to G1 Climax tour that begins on June 19.
