NJPW World Tag League 2025 finals set
The finals of NJPW World Tag League 2025 are now set with Yota Tsuji & Gabe Kidd advancing over the IWGP Tag Team Champions.
It will be Tsuji & Kidd vs. Zack Sabre Jr. & Ryohei Oiwa this Sunday (December 14) to determine the winners of World Tag League 2025. That was confirmed this morning with Tsuji & Kidd defeating OSKAR & Yuto-Ice to earn their spot in the finals.
There has been dissension between Tsuji & Kidd throughout the tournament due to them being a makeshift team of singles wrestlers, but they vowed to get onto the same page heading into the finals. After Tsuji took out Yuto-Ice, they used their double-team War Blaster finisher on OSKAR to get the win after a 20-minute match.

A face-to-face between Tsuji & Kidd and Sabre & Oiwa then took place at the end of today’s show, with Kidd telling Sabre that he’s surpassed him as the best English wrestler in NJPW. The confrontation broke up without any physicality. Tsuji & Kidd then cut a promo to close the night.
Both Tsuji & Kidd and Sabre & Oiwa finished in second place of their respective block but managed to defeat the other block’s champion in the semifinals. No matter which team prevails on Sunday, it will be their first time winning Tag League. Kidd was in the 2024 finals — but he and SANADA lost to Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi.
The winning team will earn bragging rights, the World Tag League 2025 trophy, and the right to challenge OSKAR & Yuto-Ice for the IWGP Tag Team titles.
