NJPW World Tag League 2025 night four results, updated standings

The 2025 NJPW World Tag League continued on Tuesday in Fukushima.

Four matches in B Block took place.

In the opening tournament match, Great-O-Khan and Callum Newman (1-1) needed some help from their United Empire stablemate Jakob Austin Young on the outside to beat Monster Sauce’s Alex Zayne and Lance Archer. With Zayne and Newman (1-1) the two legal wrestlers, Khan distracted the referee as Young tripped up Zayne from the ring apron, allowing Newman to hit a double foot stomp for the win.

The second tournament match of the show saw David Finlay and Hiromu Takahashi improve to 2-0 after beating Hiroshi Tanahashi and El Phantasmo (0-2). At one point during the match, it looked as though Takahashi attempted to give Tanahashi a Rainmaker-type clothesline, a possible nod to Tanahashi’s Wrestle Kingdom opponent Kazuchika Okada, but Tanahashi countered. The finish saw Finlay toss his teammate onto Tanahashi on the outside, leaving Finlay and ELP the legal wrestlers in the ring. They went into a series of pinning combinations until Takahashi got back in the ring, settled them into a position with ELP’s shoulders down, and the ref counted three. Takahashi and Finlay argued a bit in the ring after the match as Gedo tried to place peacemaker. They eventually shook hands and seemed to make amends, but then went back to arguing on the way to the back.

House of Torture tactics led to Ren Narita and SANADA (1-1) beating the IWGP Tag Team Champions The Knockout Brothers (0-2) in the semi-main event of the night. At one point, it looked as though Yuto Ice had convinced Narita to fight fair with him, but it only led to a short striking exchange, a ref bump, low blow, and Narita hitting Ice with his push-up bar. Yoshinobu Kanemaru hit OSKAR with a whisky spray, SANADA hit him with a guitar shot, and then Narita hit Hell’s Guillotine off the top and got the three count.

Zack Sabre Jr. and Ryohei Oiwa improved to 2-0 after beating Shota Umino and Yuya Uemura (1-1) in the main event. There was a lot of ZSJ vs. Umino during the last part of this match as Walker Stewart talked about them headlining Wrestle Kingdom 19 and the impacts of that match on Umino. The finish saw them exchange near falls until Oiwa got back involved and clotheslined Umino, allowing ZSJ to swoop in for the pin. After the match, Oiwa appeared to acknowledge Hiroyoshi Tenzan at ringside. ZSJ then pitched the tag team name The Chin and the Mullet before throwing the mic down, ending the show.

  • El Desperado, Shoma Kato & Shuji Ishikawa defeated Masatora Yasuda, Satoshi Kojima & Taichi
  • Gedo, Gabe Kidd, and Yota Tsuji defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi
