NJPW World Tag League 2025 night three results
The NJPW World Tag League 2025 continued on Monday with a show in Machida City.
Four matches in A Block took place and by the end of the night, Toru Yano and Boltin Oleg sit alone atop the group as the only team with a 2-0 record.
In Monday’s opening tournament match, Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI (1-1) defeated Chase Owens & Yujiro Takahashi to pick up their first win of the tournament. The finish saw Bishamon hit Owens with The Shota and Goto covering him for the win. Owens and Takahashi drop to 0-2.
Yano and Oleg defeated Satoshi Kojima and Taichi in the second tournament match. Yano and Oleg countered a double-clothesline and Yano ended up slingshotting Kojima into Oleg, who picked him up in a fireman’s carry and delivered a Kamikaze for the win. Kojima and Taichi drop to 1-1.
El Desperado and Shuji Ishikawa picked up their first win in the tournament in the semi-main event, beating Drilla Moloney and Shingo Takagi. The finish saw Ishikawa hit Moloney with two knees before hitting his Giant Slam finish. After the match, Takagi got in Ishikawa’s face and the two jawed at each other for a bit before Takagi and Moloney left the ring area.
In the night’s main event, Gabe Kidd and Yota Tsuji picked up their first win of the tournament, defeating House of Torture’s Don Fale and EVIL. Kidd got the pin on Fale after he and Tsuji hit their War Blaster clothesline/spear combo finisher. They cut a promo after the match, with Kidd saying he and Tsuji started off on the wrong foot but now they are like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, or Pele and Maradona. Tsuji attempted to cut a promo but his voice was damaged from taking a Pumping Bomber from Shingo Takagi in their first tournament match. Kidd then got back on the microphone and hyped up Tsuji again before the show came to a close.
