Four matches have been announced for next week’s NXT.
AJ Styles will face Grayson Waller, while Pete Dunne will face Tony D'Angelo in a Crowbar on a Pole match. Xyon Quinn will face Santos Escobar, with Elektra Lopez saying in an interview that she will leave with the winner. Boa will also face Solo Sikoa.
Styles appeared on tonight’s NXT New Year’s Evil show and confronted Waller, saying he wanted to face him right there and now. Waller acted like he was going to fight, but then refused, saying he’d do it on his own time and would face him next week. Waller then tried to attack Styles, but Styles cut him off with a pele kick, sending him retreating.
The feud between Dunne and D’Angelo stems from a match that took place two weeks ago, where Dunne defeated D’Angelo. After the match, D’Angelo attacked Dunne and, with a crowbar, attacked Dunne’s fingers.
In a vignette that aired tonight, Boa told himself in the mirror that he wanted to face Solo Sikoa by himself. But as he continued to wash his face, himself in face paint appeared from behind.
