Becky Lynch appearance added to WWE NXT

The Women’s Champion is set for an appearance on this week’s WWE NXT episode. 

WWE announced during Monday’s Raw show that NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will appear on Tuesday’s show. Lynch defeated Tiffany Stratton in an extreme rules match to retain her title at Saturday’s No Mercy pay-per-view in the main event. 

Lynch suffered a laceration to her arm in that bout and was not medically cleared to compete on this week’s Raw where she had been scheduled to defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Tegan Nox. Instead, Nox defeated Chelsea Green on Raw and the title match was postponed until the Monday, October 9 Raw. 

In a segment posted to WWE’s digital platforms, Lynch invited Indi Hartwell to NXT: 

Already announced for this week’s NXT are a North American Championship bout with new title holder Trick Williams defending against former champ Dominik Mysterio, Gigi Dolin vs. Blair Davenport, Gallus vs. Butch & Tyler Bate, plus the beginning of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. 

The updated lineup for Tuesday, October 3: 

  • NXT North American title: Trick Williams defends against Dominik Mysterio
  • Gigi Dolin vs. Blair Davenport
  • Gallus vs. Butch & Tyler Bate
  • The NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament begins
  • Women’s Champion Becky Lynch appears
