Cody Rhodes announcement to kick off WWE NXT
WWE has revealed what will be opening tonight’s loaded episode of NXT.
An appearance by Cody Rhodes will kick off NXT tonight. Rhodes is set to make a “big announcement” during the segment.

The first 30 minutes of tonight’s NXT will air commercial-free. AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday, which is going head-to-head with NXT, will also be commercial-free for its first 30 minutes.
At Fastlane last Saturday, Rhodes & Jey Uso defeated Judgment Day’s Finn Balor & Damian Priest to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles. This is the first title that Rhodes has held since returning to WWE.
Rhodes & Uso made their first title defense on Raw last night. They defeated Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn in the main event.
The updated lineup for tonight’s NXT is listed below:
- Carmelo Hayes (w/ John Cena) vs. Bron Breakker (w/ Paul Heyman)
- WWE is teasing that The Undertaker will appear
- Asuka vs. Roxanne Perez
- Pub Rules match: Butch, Ridge Holland & Tyler Bate vs. Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang)
- Women’s Breakout Tournament first-round match: Lola Vice vs. Dani Palmer
- Cody Rhodes will kick off the show with a major announcement
