Dakota Kai thanked people for their support following her release from WWE on Friday.
In a social media post, Kai thanked those for reaching out and promised that she was far from being done.
“Above everything, thank you all,” she wrote. “I am so overwhelmed at all the love and support. The DMs, txts, tweets...you all have my heart. I love you. I am thankful for being able to meet, work, and intertwine with so many beautiful people, people I looked up to, people I learned from...I met some of by best friends over these last few years that will remain in my life forever."
She further added that being ‘Evie’, the name she used prior to signing with WWE, is done with. However, she is far from being done overall.
“I don’t know what’s next for me,” she wrote. I chose ‘Evie’ at 17 years old. That chapter is shut...just know this; I am far from being done.”
Kai was part of 10 NXT cuts that took place on Friday. Other notable names released include Malcolm Bivens, Harland, Dexter Lumis, Persia Pirotta, and Draco Anthony.
