Fans returning for WWE NXT UK television tapings

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, live crowds are returning to NXT UK.

NXT UK will welcome fans back starting with the Thursday, October 14 edition of the show. The main event of the episode will see Ilja Dragunov defend his NXT United Kingdom Championship against A-Kid.

The episode is being filmed as part of two nights of tapings that are taking place at BT Sport Studios this week. The tapings are being held on Wednesday, October 6 and Thursday, October 7, with “a limited number of guests” being invited to attend. WWE isn’t selling tickets to the tapings.

The NHS COVID Pass is required for entry, meaning fans will have to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. Masks are also required for attendees.

London’s BT Sport Studios has been NXT UK’s home since the brand returned with new episodes in September 2020. The final NXT UK tapings before the pandemic started were held in Coventry in March 2020.

BT Sport is WWE’s television partner in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Dragunov vs. A-Kid will be Dragunov’s first title defense since winning the NXT United Kingdom Championship from WALTER at NXT TakeOver 36. A-Kid defeated Nathan Frazer and Rampage Brown in a triple threat match on NXT UK two weeks ago to become the number one contender to Dragunov’s title.
