Grayson Waller Effect with Carmelo Hayes set for WWE NXT

Grayson Waller and Carmelo Hayes will come face-to-face one week before their NXT Championship match at Spring Breakin’. 

WWE announced on Sunday that Hayes will be a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect on Tuesday’s show. 

Hayes will defend his title against Waller on the April 25 episode. Waller earned the right to challenge Hayes after winning a four-way match on last week’s show against Dragon Lee, Duke Hudson, and JD McDonagh.

Waller and Hayes have met just once previously in singles competition. Hayes successfully retained the NXT North American Championship against Waller at last year’s Great American Bash. 

Announced for the 4/18 WWE NXT:

  • NXT North American title: Wes Lee (c) vs. Charlie Dempsey
  • NXT Tag Team titles: Gallus (Wolfgang & Mark Coffey) (c) vs. The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) vs. The Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius Creed)
  • Roxanne Perez vs. Zoey Stark
  • The Grayson Waller Effect with Carmelo Hayes
