Positive update on NXT champion after recent injury scare

NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne looks to have avoided serious injury after a scare that took place at a recent house show.

At an NXT live event on October 9, Jayne suffered an apparent leg injury and needed assistance getting backstage. Our Bryan Alvarez reports that Jayne is said to be doing fine, but her Fatal Influence faction mate Fallon Henley could be dealing with an injury.

“So the update on Jacy Jayne is apparently she’s fine,” Alvarez notes. “However Fallon is now injured. They did an assisted Sol Snatcher spot on a house show and it got botched and Sol landed right on Fallon’s head. Hopefully she’s OK and back in action soon, but was told it looked really bad.”

This Tuesday’s pre-taped NXT episode was headlined by Tatum Paxley winning a number one contender’s battle royal to become Jayne’s NXT Women’s Championship challenger for Halloween Havoc. The PLE is being held at Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona on Saturday, October 25.

Following Jazmyn Nyx’s departure from WWE, a new member of Fatal Influence was added this week with Lainey Reid joining Jayne and Henley.
