Joe Hendry training at WWE Performance Center full-time

If you say Joe Hendry’s name inside the WWE Performance Center, there’s a good chance he’ll appear.
Hendry was a guest on Matt Camp’s new show, The Wrestling Matt, on Wednesday and revealed that he is training at the PC full-time thanks to the ongoing relationship between WWE and TNA.
“We are in a situation where TNA Wrestling has worked it out with WWE where I can appear on TNA Wrestling as a contracted talent, I can appear on NXT, and I can train at the Performance Center full-time and do indies and do signings. This is unprecedented. It’s never been done before in the business. So, thank you to TNA and WWE for figuring it out,” Hendry said on the show.
Hendry continued to discuss his reasons for training at the Performance Center and what it’s like working with Shawn Michaels.
“My viewpoint is you can only do your best with the knowledge that you have at the time. So, I just prepare, prepare, prepare. I have no ego when it comes to getting better, that’s why I’m training at the Performance Center. I feel like I’m never going to rest on the skills that I’ve got, I’m always going to try and build to something more.”
Later in the show, he added:
“I had a long conversation with Shawn Michaels last night. The mentorship from Shawn Michaels has been unbelievable. This is why this collaboration between TNA Wrestling and NXT is so good because everybody wins.”
“For me personally from a training perspective, Shawn’s giving me a huge opportunity and Shawn said ‘Hey, this door is open, if you want to train at the Performance Center, we’re going to open that door.’ I was like, ‘Let’s do it.'”
Hendry said he needed a week to sort out his “real life” stuff back home but is now in Orlando full-time.
“Right now, I’m training at the Performance Center and I’m here in Orlando and I’m getting this amazing opportunity to learn from, let’s be honest, the greatest in-ring performer of all time. And the fact that Shawn sees something in me that he wants to help me build and grow, it just makes me want to do an even better job for TNA Wrestling and WWE, it makes me want to do great business for both companies.”
Hendry performed a concert on last night’s NXT broadcast but ended up being attacked by all three members of Gallus. He’s scheduled to wrestle Joe Coffey in singles competition on next week’s show. He will be taking part in TNA’s upcoming tapings this weekend in Tampa.
