John Cena to choose Iron Survivor Challenge competitiors next week
John Cena has a brand-new duty to fulfill before his retirement date.
On week one of WWE NXT Goldrush, a video package aired featuring General Manager Ava Raine, who announced that the 17-time WWE World Champion will appear on Week 2 of NXT Gold Rush on 11/25. It was also revealed that on the Week 2 of WWE NXT Goldrush, John Cena will select both the men and women’s Iron Survivor Challenge competitors.
The men and women’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches are set to take place at NXT Deadline on December 6th in San Antonio, Texas. Deadline is scheduled to take place a week before Cena’s final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th in Washington, DC.
While, no pariticipant for the matches have been announced, here are the stars who have previously won the Iron Survivor Challenge in the past:

WWE NXT Goldrush week 2 matchcard
WWE NXT Goldrush is taking place over two consecutive weeks. While both shows are scheduled to be taped on November 18th, 2025, next week’s episode will air on November 25th, 2025. Here is the updated match card for next week’s show:
