Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner crowned at WWE NXT Deadline
Je’Von Evans is getting another shot at the NXT Championship.
At NXT Deadline, Evans managed to score the deciding pinfall in order to advance to New Year’s Evil on January 6, where he’ll face new champion Oba Femi. In the final minute of the match, Dion Lennox managed to trap Evans inside the penalty box. However, Evans made to the top and launched off, wiping out the DarkState member. Back in the ring, a flurry of offense ensued until Evans came out on top, cradling Miles Borne for the decisive fall.
As Evans celebrated, Oba Femi came out as the two had a staredown. However the lights suddenly went out and a video aired of a man walking down a street. When the lights came back on, Tony D’Angelo appeared. Evans offered his hand but D’Angelo instead chose to lay him out, ending the show with D’Angelo staring down Femi.
Evans previously challenged for the NXT Championship back at Heatwave earlier this summer. Despite a strong showing, Evans was unable to beat Femi for the title.
