Next week’s NXT to feature two steel cage matches

A second steel cage match has been added to next week’s episode of NXT.

On tonight’s NXT, it was announced that Velveteen Dream and Roderick Strong will face off inside of a steel cage next Wednesday. That joins the already confirmed Tegan Nox vs. Dakota Kai steel cage match on next week’s card.

There was a video that aired on NXT tonight where Velveteen Dream said he wants the steel cage left up so he can make Strong experience it next week. Strong later accepted Dream’s challenge and said he’s going to end him for good.

The storyline between Velveteen Dream and Strong resumed when Dream returned to NXT television three weeks ago after nearly four months out of action due to a back injury. Dream taunted Strong’s family, leading to them facing off in last week’s main event. Dream defeated Strong but was immediately laid out by all four members of Undisputed Era after the match.

The steel cage match between Nox and Kai was announced after their street fight at NXT TakeOver: Portland ended with Raquel Gonzalez interfering, aligning with Kai, and helping her win.
