Noam Dar is the new number one contender to Tyler Bate’s Heritage Cup Championship.

In the main event of this week’s NXT UK episode, Dar defeated Wolfgang in the finals of NXT UK’s Heritage Cup number one contender’s tournament. WWE hasn’t announced when Dar will be getting his title shot against Bate.

Dar defeated Wolfgang by two falls to one. After Jordan Devlin attacked Wolfgang’s Gallus stablemate Joe Coffey at ringside during the second round of the match, Dar took advantage of the distraction and won the first fall by rolling up Wolfgang while holding onto his tights for leverage. Wolfgang then immediately hit a spear at the start of the third round and pinned Dar to even the match at 1-1.

Dar hit two Nova Rollers in the sixth round to get the win. Following the match, Bate made his way out to the stage with the Heritage Cup and had a staredown with Dar.

Bate is the second wrestler to hold the Heritage Cup since it was introduced in 2020. He won the championship from A-Kid this May. To get that title shot, Bate defeated Dar in a number one contender’s match.
