North American title number one contender’s match set for NXT

Roderick Strong’s next challenger will be decided on Wednesday’s episode of NXT.

Keith Lee vs. Dominik Dijakovic vs. Damian Priest vs. Cameron Grimes is set for Wednesday’s NXT, with the winner becoming the number one contender to Strong’s North American Championship.

The match was announced via a tweet from NXT general manager William Regal: “This Wednesday on #WWENXT, we will find a new #1 Contender for the NXT North American Championship in a #Fatal4Way as it will be @RealKeithLee vs. @DijakovicWWE vs. @CGrimesWWE vs. @ArcherOfInfamy”

NXT aired taped episodes on both Christmas and New Year’s Day. Strong issued a North American title open challenge on the Christmas show and retained his title against Austin Theory. Lee & Lio Rush also defeated Priest & Tony Nese.

The winners of NXT’s year-end awards were announced on this week’s year in review episode. Lee was named NXT’s Breakout Star of the Year for 2019.

Strong has been North American Champion since winning the title from Velveteen Dream on NXT’s USA Network debut in September.
