NXT announces number one contender’s match for next week
Adam Cole’s next challenger will be determined on next week’s episode of NXT.
Tonight’s NXT ended with the announcement that Keith Lee, Tommaso Ciampa, and Finn Balor will face off in a number one contender’s triple threat match next week. The winner will challenge for Cole’s NXT Championship on the December 18 edition of the show.
Lee pinned Cole in a six-man tag match in tonight’s main event. Lee, Ciampa & Dominik Dijakovic faced Cole, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly, with Balor getting involved by attacking Cole and Ciampa before being laid out by Lee. William Regal came out after the match and announced Lee, Ciampa, and Balor’s number one contender’s match for next Wednesday.
Shayna Baszler will also defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley on December 18.
Lio Rush will defend his Cruiserweight Championship against Angel Garza on next week’s NXT, and Mia Yim vs. Dakota Kai is also set for the episode.
