NXT UK returning with new episodes starting next month

For the first time since having to stop events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NXT UK is returning with new episodes starting next month.

A video aired during NXT TakeOver XXX tonight hyping that NXT UK will return with a new episode on Thursday, September 17. It was said that the tapings will take place at BT Sport studios in London, England.

The Wrestling Movement had reported today that the NXT UK roster was in London for COVID-19 testing and that tapings could return soon: “BREAKING: TWM has learned that the entire NXT UK roster is in London today having Covid tests. Tapings could take place soon. #NXT #nxtuk”

NXT UK was in the middle of building to UK TakeOver: Dublin before that event had to be postponed due to the pandemic. The event was originally supposed to take place on Sunday, April 26 and was then postponed to Sunday, October 25. Triple H said on his post-TakeOver XXX conference call that he believes that UK TakeOver event will be postponed further.

NXT UK’s Travis Banks, Ligero, and referees Joel Allen and Chris Roberts were released in June following allegations made during the #SpeakingOut movement. Joe Coffey was also suspended by WWE.
