Opening segment announced for WWE NXT

WWE has announced the opening segment for tonight’s episode of NXT.

Lexis King vs. Myles Borne in a Lights Out match will kick off the show. WWE revealed the news Tuesday afternoon, writing, “The Lights Out Match between @mylesborne_wwe and @LexisKingWWE will KICK OFF #WWENXT tonight!

This will be the fourth singles match between King and Borne on WWE television. Borne picked up wins over King on the June 24 and August 5 editions of NXT, while King got a win back in a Blindfold match on the August 26 episode. The two also split a series of Blindfold matches during NXT house shows last month.

Three matches are confirmed for tonight’s show. The updated lineup is below:

WWE NXT lineup for Tuesday, September 23:

  • Double title match: NXT Champion Oba Femi vs. TNA World Champion Trick Williams
  • WWE Women’s Speed Championship tournament: Candice LeRae vs. Lainey Reid
  • Lights Out match: Lexis King vs. Myles Borne
