Report: Reason why WWE removed Ricky Saints segment from social media

Ricky Saints’ infamous concert segment from WWE NXT is now nowhere to be found on WWE’s official social media handles, and Fightful Select has released a report explaining why.

Last week on the March 3 episode of NXT, Saints performed a live concert in what was promoted as “The Ricky Saints Absolute Experience.” While the concert was similar in concept to that of Joe Hendry and The Rock’s, it failed to create an impact. Shortly after releasing the segment on social media, it drew attention, before WWE ultimately decided to remove it.

Fightful Select recently reported that WWE removed the clip after the major negative reaction it received online. Sources close to Fightful Select in NXT claimed that the segment was not his pitch or idea. Saints has been trying to move away from things that could draw his character’s on-screen comparisons to The Rock.

The segment received a lukewarm reaction backstage, and there were no worries about Hendry or Saints moving forward. It was also believed that the two recovered well for NXT Vengeance Day. It was also reported that Saints was not expected to be in NXT for a full year when he joined in 2025 after a run in AEW.

On March 7, 2026, Hendry successfully defended his NXT title against Saints at NXT Vengeance Day.
