Sean Legacy officially joins WWE NXT roster
Sean Legacy has officially joined NXT.
In a video posted on social media shortly before Tuesday’s show, Shawn Michaels told Legacy that he would be part of the NXT roster going forward. He also mentioned that Legacy will be thrown in the deep end right away, noting his scheduled match against Eli Knight where the winner advances to the NXT Championship ladder match set for next month.
Legacy started wrestling in 2016 and had a brief stint in Pro Wrestling NOAH before joining the WWE ID program in late 2024. He has been a regular in EVOLVE, which features WWE ID talent, and has also made appearances on NXT television. He defeated Je’Von Evans and Ashante Thee Adonis in a three-way last May to earn a North American title match against Ethan Page, though he was unsuccessful.
With many NXT stars headed to the main roster, the last couple of weeks have seen WWE’s developmental brand introduce new talent to their weekly television show. Last Tuesday saw Knight, Keanu Carver, and The Vanity Project (Ricky Smokes, Brad Baylor, and EVOLVE Champion Jackson Drake) join the roster.
