Sol Ruca to address ‘unforeseen circumstances’ on WWE NXT
Sol Ruca is set to address the fans on NXT tonight and give an update on a potential injury.
On social media this afternoon, Ruca posted a video announcing that she needs to “address the NXT Universe” tonight. NXT General Manager Ava said that she will be appearing with Ruca during the segment.
“Some unforeseen circumstances have come up,” Ava said. “And I know that she really wants to talk to you guys about it. So I’m going to be out there with her. And make sure that you’re watching, because you’re not going to want to miss it.”
Ruca and her tag team partner Zaria — who have been teasing a potential breakup recently — lost to WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss on SmackDown last Friday. The finish of the match saw Charlotte target Ruca’s knee after Ruca was distracted by Blake Monroe at ringside. Charlotte, Bliss, and Zaria then helped Ruca to the back after.
WWE.com is saying that Ruca was injured in that match.
“NXT Women’s North American Champion and Women’s Speed Champion Sol Ruca will provide an update on the injury that she suffered on Friday Night SmackDown,” WWE wrote. “Don’t miss Ruca’s update on WWE NXT live TONIGHT at 8e/7c on the CW Network.”
A North American Championship match between Ruca and Monroe was the plan for NXT Halloween Havoc this Saturday. Tonight’s show will reveal whether that match is still happening.
