Three matches set for next week’s WWE NXT

Two matches are official, plus a challenge was made for a no DQ match for the July 23 WWE NXT episode.

Lexis King will go one-on-one with Eddy Thorpe on next week’s show. The match was set up by an angle on this week’s episode where King crashed an event where Thorpe was serving as a DJ.

Also official for the Tuesday, July 23 show, Ashante Adonis will face Meta-Four’s Oro Mensah in singles competition. Adonis joined the NXT roster last week alongside tag team partner Cedric Alexander, then was confronted by Mensah in a backstage segment this week after Adonis was spotted talking to Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson.

A challenge for a no-DQ match was also laid out in the closing segment of this week’s show.

After returning to in-ring competition on this week’s NXT episode, Brooks Jensen challenged former tag team partner Josh Briggs to the no-DQ match on next week’s show.

The lineup for the Tuesday, July 23 WWE NXT:

  • Lexis King vs. Eddy Thorpe
  • Ashante Adonis vs. Oro Mensah
  • No DQ match: Josh Briggs vs. Brooks Jensen
