TNA title bout contract signing set for next WWE NXT

The TNA World Championship will be on the line at WWE NXT Battleground, with the contract signing for the bout set for next week’s WWE NXT.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry will defend his title against Trick Williams at Battleground, with the contract signing to make the match official taking place on the Tuesday, May 13 WWE NXT episode. Hendry and Williams have been feuding across both TNA and NXT programming in recent weeks, wth NXT GM Ava making their Battleground bout official on this week’s show.

NXT Champion Oba Femi will be in action on next week’s episode in a non-title bout against Charlie Dempsey. Dempsey’s No Quarter Catch Crew stablemate Myles Borne won a number one contender’s battle royal on Tuesday’s episode to earn a title shot at Femi at Battleground, and Dempsey attempted to claim the title shot as his own in a backstage segment with Borne and Femi. His plan backfired, as Borne retained his shot, while Dempsey backed himself into a one-on-one match with Femi on next week’s WWE NXT.

Wes Lee will go one-on-one with Tony D’Angelo in another match announced for next week’s episode.
