Triple H & Shawn Michaels to make ‘major announcement’ on NXT

WWE has revealed that the major announcement on tonight’s NXT will be made by Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

WWE is hyping that a “major announcement” will be made on tonight’s episode of NXT.
During an appearance on WWE’s The Bump this morning, NXT general manager William Regal announced that there will be “a major announcement on tonight’s show regarding NXT.” Further details about what the announcement will be weren’t revealed.
Regal also announced that we’ll be hearing from Rhea Ripley on NXT tonight. Last week, Ripley returned to NXT for the first time since losing the NXT Women’s Championship to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36.
Ripley’s appearance last week came after Charlotte got herself disqualified in a title defense against Io Shirai. Ripley made the save and attacked Charlotte but then got into an argument with Shirai. There was then an angle where Shirai confronted Ripley as she was being interviewed outside of the building and they had to be separated by officials.
The NXT Tag Team titles will be on the line tonight as Matt Riddle and his temporary partner Timothy Thatcher defend against Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner. Finn Balor will also face Cameron Grimes on the show.
