Three title matches confirmed for NXT Atlanta event
Two matches are confirmed for NXT’s stop at Center Stage in two weeks.
Sol Ruca earned a shot at Jacy Jayne on Tuesday, pinning Kendal Grey for a Women’s title match in two weeks in Atlanta. The finish had Zaria accidentally bump into Sol Ruca, who inadvertently tagged in. Zaria was going for the F5 on Wren Sinclair, but Ruca suddenly emerged and hit Grey with the sol snatcher for the pinfall victory. The end of the show saw Jayne come out and stare down Ruca as Zaria looked on, angry about how that finish went down and creating further tension between the two friends.
Eli Knight scored a win over Josh Briggs to advance to the finals of the men’s Speed Championship match, which will take place next week. Elio Lefleur, who won the other semifinal match, came out and the two had a staredown. But Troy soon reminded them who they would be facing in Atlanta by laying out both men.
The NXT Tag Team titles will also be on the line. After a confrontation on Tuesday, DarkState will face the winners of a four-way tag team match between OTM, The Cullling, Hank & Tank, and Vanity Project that takes place next Tuesday.
After Keanu Carver wreaked havoc backstage upon being passed over for a NXT title match, Sean Legacy cut a promo saying he wanted to face Carver in his home turf of Atlanta on February 24. He said that while he might get his butt kicked, he wasn’t going to back down and awaited Carver’s response.
