Two title matches official for WWE NXT Great American Bash

Naraku emerges victorious on WWE NXT

Two title matches are set for the Great American Bash.

Naraku will face Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship on June 28 in Orlando after he defeated Mason Rook in a number one contender’s match on Tuesday. Kam Hendrix, who appeared near the end of the match, caused a distraction leaving Rook unfocused. Naraku took the opportunity to score the win soon after, pinning Rook with the STO.

Later in the show Naraku had a brief interaction with D’Angelo, handing the NXT Champion a mysterious letter.

In the second number one contender’s match, Kendal Grey defeated Kelani Jordan to earn another shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. The two traded submissions and nearfall attempts towards the end of the match until Grey dropped Jordan with the shades of Grey for the sudden win.

Grey last challenged for the title at Stand and Deliver. Although Lola Vice emerged as the new champion over Jacy Jayne, Grey wasn’t pinned and continued her pursuit in the weeks following the event.
