Released NXT star Wes Lee has broken his silence following his WWE departure.

Less than a month after his release, Lee has broken his silence. Lee, back under his Dezmond Xavier moniker, shared that he was ‘overwhelmed’ by the support. Sharing a heartfelt message for his fans on social media, Xavier stated:

“I want to apologize to everyone that showed so much love for me in the midst of everything that’s happened. The outpouring of support and adoration was overwhelming to say the least and I have to thank you all for adding fuel to my fire. It’s time to get back in my bag.”

A part of WWE for five years, the former NXT Champion’s run came to a sudden halt last month and he is now accepting bookings for matches, signings, and seminars. Xavier has also been announced for House of Glory and The Wrestling REVOLVER shows.

An extremely talented and celebrated star, the 31-year-old star is a former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion and a one-time NXT North American Champion.

Last month in October, reports emerged about multiple new WWE departures and releases. Several names such as Lee, Stevie Turner, Lance Anoa’i, Jin Tala, Drako Knox, and many more parted ways with the Stamford-based promotion.
