WWE announces NXT Great American Bash for July

WWE has revealed when NXT’s next special event will be taking place.

During NXT In Your House on Saturday night, it was announced that NXT Great American Bash 2022 is set for Tuesday, July 5. The show, which is a special episode of NXT, will air live on the USA Network starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

This will be the third straight year that an NXT Great American Bash event has taken place. It’s the first Great American Bash since the NXT 2.0 rebrand.

There have yet to be any matches announced for the show.

The Great American Bash was first held in 1985, with the show being given its name by the legendary Dusty Rhodes. It was one of WCW/Jim Crockett Promotions’ signature events.

WWE also used the Great American Bash name for an annual pay-per-view from 2004-2008, and a WWE PPV called “The Bash” took place in 2009.
