WWE hires new commentator for NXT Level Up

WWE has hired a new commentator.

As first reported by Fightful, Blake Chadwick has been signed to the promotion. He has changed his name to Blake Howard on social media, indicating this will likely be the name he goes by in WWE. 

Howard has done commentary for numerous independent promotions including Coastal Championship Wrestling, Combat Fights Unlimited, and Only Stars Pro Wrestling. 

He made his WWE debut on Tuesday at the NXT Level Up tapings from the Performance Center. Howard is expected to join Byron Saxton on the show’s commentary team moving forward. Prior to Howard’s arrival, NXT commentator Vic Joseph worked with Saxton on the show. 

WWE NXT Level Up airs Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern time on Peacock and the WWE Network. The show debuted on February 8, 2022, replacing 205 Live. The lineup for this week’s episode is below:

  • Tank Ledger vs. Kale Dixon
  • Lash Legend vs. Dani Palmer
  • Axiom vs. Scrypts
