WWE NXT to air on Syfy for two weeks, matches set for next Tuesday

NXT is officially shifting stations for its next two episodes.

WWE confirmed tonight that NXT will air on Syfy for each of the next two weeks. Those are the Tuesday, July 27 and Tuesday, August 3 episodes of the show. The episodes will air on Syfy at NXT’s usual start time of 8 p.m. Eastern.

Both episodes will be taped in advance. WWE is holding tapings for the episodes at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida tomorrow (Wednesday, July 21).

The change is due to there being a scheduling conflict with the Olympics airing on USA Network.

Three matches have been announced for next Tuesday’s NXT. They are:

  • Adam Cole vs. Bronson Reed
  • Pete Dunne & Oney Lorcan vs. Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher
  • NXT Breakout Tournament first-round match: Carmelo Hayes vs. Josh Briggs

Duke Hudson and Odyssey Jones have already advanced to the next round of the Breakout Tournament. Hayes vs. Briggs and Trey Baxter vs. Joe Gacy are the final two first-round matchups. The winner of the tournament will receive a shot at the NXT title of their choosing.
