WWE NXT notes: Result of Underground match, Shiloh Hill injured

Kendal Grey wins NXT Underground

Kendal Grey is still the NXT Women’s Champion.

Grey emerged victorious in the main event of Tuesday’s show, submitting Lola Vice to retain the title in an Underground match. Earlier in the bout, Vice tripped Grey, causing her to fall on the stairs and injure her ear. Grey wrapped it up and continued the match. After a referee bump, Vice managed to get Grey to pass out. As Vice went to check on the referee, Wren Sinclair at ringside woke up Grey and motivated her to continue the fight.

Grey connected with a superkick, but Vice responded with a kick of her own and mounted Grey with punches. Grey then latched onto Vice’s arm and managed to score the submission win with an armlock. After the match, the two hugged and Vice raised Grey’s hand to end the show.

Shiloh Hill out of action

In a video that aired during Tuesday’s program, Shiloh Hill announced that he had suffered a fractured skull during his match against Tristan Angels last week, injuring his maxilla. He said as a result, he may be out of action for a while.

His video ended with him giving his thoughts on a number of topics he researched, including the mysterious absence of Pat Patterson’s Intercontinental title win in Rio de Janeiro and the history of Japanese wrestlers using mist.
