WWE NXT ratings down despite no major sports competition

The episode averaged 612,000 viewers and drew a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demo.

Tuesday's edition of NXT averaged 612,000 viewers on the USA Network, down 6.9 percent from last week. It's still the second-best audience for the show since May 3.

The episode was a taped show that was filmed at the WWE Performance Center last week.

NXT finished 25th on the cable charts with a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 14.3 percent from last week. That matches NXT's second-lowest rating in the demo since February.

There was no major sports competition on the night for the first time in months, though cable news was up from normal.

Looking at the individual demo categories, NXT's biggest drops were with younger women. Females 12-34 were down 75 percent to a 0.02 rating, which is NXT's record low in the category. NXT also matched a record low with women 18-49 with a 0.05 rating, down 54.6 percent from last week. Men 18-49 were actually up 5.6 percent or the overall drop would've been even more.

As compared to the same week in 2021, NXT was down 11.9 percent in overall viewers and down 36.8 percent in 18-49.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for NXT, along with the 10-week averages in both categories. This week's show was up 3.3 percent in overall viewers but down 7.7 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
