WWE NXT video highlights: Final build to TakeOver XXX

WWE finished building to TakeOver XXX on last night's go-home episode of NXT.

Pat McAfee appeared and cut a promo on Adam Cole ahead of their match at TakeOver. McAfee didn't come alone for the face-to-face segment, bringing an entourage that included fellow former NFL players AJ Hawk and Darius Butler to counter Undisputed Era.

The lineup for the ladder match for the vacant North American Championship at TakeOver is now fully set. Johnny Gargano and Velveteen Dream won their respective second chance qualifying matches last night, defeating Ridge Holland and Finn Balor. It will be Bronson Reed, Damian Priest, Cameron Grimes, Gargano, and Dream vying for the North American title on Saturday.

Gargano finished his match despite a scary moment where he was dropped on his head when a powerslam went wrong.

All of the other ladder match participants got involved in the Dream vs. Balor main event. Timothy Thatcher also interfered and cost Balor the match.

Dakota Kai defeated Jessi Kamea and then got some help from the returning Raquel Gonzalez. Gonzalez laid out NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai ahead of her title defense against Kai on Saturday.

A pre-show match was also announced for TakeOver. Legado del Fantasma's Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde, Breezango, and Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch will face off in a number one contender's triple threat tag match.
