WWE NXT’s Nikkita Lyons undergoes successful knee surgery

NXT’s Nikkita Lyons is on the road to recovery after undergoing successful knee surgery.

Lyons announced on Tuesday that she’s undergone surgery to repair her torn ACL and torn meniscus. Lyons thanked the surgeons, doctors, and nurses who treated her.

“Surgery was a success,” Lyons wrote. “Thank you deeply to the WWE Universe, my Lyon Pride for all the love and support you show. I’ll be back stronger than I’ve ever been. #ReadyToPounce Also a big thank you to the wonderful surgeons, doctors and nurses. @WWENXT @WWE”

The injury would be expected to keep Lyons out of action for several months.

Lyons last wrestled when she defeated Jakara Jackson on an episode of NXT Level Up earlier this month. On NXT last week, there was an angle where it was shown that Lyons had been attacked in the parking lot. The angle was a cover for Lyons being injured and needing surgery.

The identity of Lyons’ attacker wasn’t revealed.

Lyons previously suffered a partial MCL tear and sprain in May 2022.
