WWE NXT’s Odyssey Jones undergoes surgery, ‘probably’ out until fall

Odyssey Jones

NXT’s Odyssey Jones looks to be facing an extended period of time out of action.

During tonight’s NXT, it was said that Jones has undergone successful surgery for a ruptured patellar tendon. NXT commentator Vic Joseph said Jones will probably be able to make his return to the ring this fall.

Jones was injured two weeks ago while filming a match against Saurav for 205 Live. The match was stopped and didn’t end up airing due to Jones’ injury

Jones was on crutches and wearing a knee brace when he appeared on last week’s NXT. There was an angle on the show where he was attacked backstage by Harland after getting into a confrontation with Harland and Joe Gacy.

Jones (real name Omari Palmer) signed with WWE in 2019. He was formerly a college football player at Syracuse University.

Last year, Jones made it to the finals of NXT’s Breakout Tournament before losing to Carmelo Hayes.
