Actor Aaron Dean Eisenberg cast as Ric Flair in ‘The Iron Claw’

An actor has been cast to play Ric Flair in “The Iron Claw.”

Deadline reported today that Aaron Dean Eisenberg will play the role of Ric Flair in the Von Erich family biopic. Eisenberg is known for having been part of the cast of the HBO series “The Deuce.”

Deadline noted that the role of Flair is expected to be a cameo:

While the role is expected to be a cameo, Flair played a huge part in the Von Erich’s wrestling legacy when he fought Kerry Von Erich for the NWA Championship Belt in 1984. 

Kerry Von Erich won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from Flair at the first Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions, which took place in May 1984 following the death of Kerry’s brother David Von Erich.

“The Iron Claw” is also set to feature Zac Efron (Kevin Von Erich), Harris Dickinson (David Von Erich), Jeremy Allen White (Kerry Von Erich), Holt McCallany (Fritz Von Erich), Maura Tierney (Doris Von Erich), Lily James, and AEW World Champion MJF (Lance Von Erich).

Production on “The Iron Claw” is currently underway. The movie is from A24 films and is being directed by Sean Durkin.
