CM Punk, Wade Barrett among hosts for Netflix’s ‘Ultimate Beastmaster’

Two former WWE wrestlers will be among the hosts for season three of Netflix’s “Ultimate Beastmaster.”

Netflix announced the series’ renewal today, and along with it named CM Punk and Stu Bennett (the former Wade Barrett) as two of its hosts. There will be nine countries represented on the show, with two hosts/commentators for each of them. Punk will join former NFL running back Tiki Barber on the United States broadcast team.

Punk tweeted about the news: “The Beast is back and I’ll be your host for Team USA along with the my co-host the awesome @TikiBarber! Don’t miss the most intense obstacle course in the world!!!!! #UltimateBeastmaster Season 3 coming in 2018!!!!!”

Punk previously appeared on MTV’s “The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros” reality show last year. While his next UFC fight has yet to be announced, the UFC has discussed booking Punk vs. Mike Jackson for their June 9th pay-per-view in Chicago.

Bennett will be paired with television host Kate Abdo on the United Kingdom commentary team. Anderson Silva is one of the hosts for Brazil.

“Ultimate Beastmaster” is a Netflix original reality competition series. The third season will have nine episodes and is set to premiere later this year. The US, UK, Brazil, Australia, Germany, Italy, France, South Korea, and Mexico will be the countries represented.
