Dark Side of the Ring celebrating new episode with limited VHS release
Dark Side of the Ring is turning back the clock in celebration of its next episode.
The Vice TV series announced today that it is partnering with IndependentWrestling.TV and Enjoy the Ride records for a limited-edition VHS release of its upcoming “Necro Butcher vs. Samoa Joe” documentary from season seven. Along with the Dark Side of the Ring episode, the VHS will include the infamous Necro Butcher vs. Samoa Joe match that the documentary is based on.
On Vice TV, the “Necro Butcher vs. Samoa Joe” episode premieres tomorrow (July 21) at 9 p.m. Eastern time. It’s focused on the match the two had against each other for IWA-MS in 2005 and the personal animosity that existed between Necro Butcher and Joe.
Only 300 copies of the special edition VHS are being put on sale, with 50 of the copies being signed by Necro Butcher & Joe. Pre-orders begin at noon Eastern tomorrow through Enjoy the Ride Records.
Dark Side of the Ring season seven —
This season of Dark Side of the Ring began on July 7 with the first three episodes being a multi-part documentary on Jeff Jarrett & TNA Wrestling. Other subjects that will be covered include Paul Orndorff, Big Boss Man, Missy Hyatt, Zach Gowen, and The Renegade (Rick Wilson, an exotic dancer who played a knockoff version of the Ultimate Warrior).
