Former Tegan Nox reaffirms 2026 retirement plans
Nixon Newell, formerly known as Tegan Nox in WWE, is still planning for 2026 to be her last year in wrestling.
Following the controversy where she and girlfriend Miranda Alize walked out of an AEW Collision episode last year, Newell stated that she just wanted to have fun with 2025 and 2026 being her final years competing in the ring. She has now reiterated that retirement timeline in a Q&A with fans on Instagram.

“More than likely in December,” Newell responded when asked when her final match will be.
Newell has not announced any other details regarding her final match or retirement plans.
The 31-year-old Newell had two separate WWE stints during her career, being released in 2021 and 2024. Injuries had a significant impact on her WWE run, but she was fully healthy when her time with the company came to an end. Despite that, she initially experienced a “severe lack of bookings” after being released.
Newell did debut for AEW on Collision last October, teaming with Alize in a loss to Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne. Newell & Alize were then brought back to face Tay Melo & Anna Jay, but Newell & Alize walked out before the match could take place because they wanted more time than was scheduled. Maya World & Hyan — who have since been signed to AEW contracts — ended up replacing Newell & Alize in the match.
Despite walking out, Newell has said that there is no bad blood between her and AEW.
