Former WWE Performance Center recruit to compete on ‘The Challenge’

Alexis Lete The Challenge

A former WWE Performance Center recruit is part of the cast for the next season of popular reality TV show “The Challenge.”

The long-running series moves from MTV to Paramount Plus with its 42nd season premiering on Wednesday, August 5. Among the rookies set to compete is Alexis Lete, who had a brief tenure with WWE but never made it to NXT television. She played volleyball in college and has now become a social media personality and appeared on multiple reality shows.

Paramount’s casting description for Lete says:

  • A former ‘WWE NXT’ performer and Miss Indiana USA 2020, Lete makes her ‘Challenge’ debut and hopes to change her title of runner-up on ‘Deal or No Deal Island’ to ‘Challenge’ champion.

If Lete’s name is familiar to wrestling fans, it’s probably for the real-life issues she had with Cora Jade (who now wrestles for TNA as Elayna Black). After being released from WWE, Lete accused Jade of being a bully and claimed that Jade was “really mean.” Jade responded by saying that, when Lete join the Performance Center, she immediately had heat with “everyone” for being disrespectful. Jade admitted to being blunt with Lete in their limited interactions but denied that she bullied her.

  • This new chapter, taking place entirely in the vibrant, and lush landscape of Thailand, features a mix of legendary veterans and fearless newcomers for the franchise’s most intense game yet. Each test will push the 24 fierce titans past their breaking points in a ruthless battle for a share of the $500,000 grand prize. In this bold new era, the Challengers will be divided into three teams and the only way to take home a share of the cash prize, is to cross the finish line together as a unit. To win, nominated captains must balance their hunger for dominance with the need for loyalty, or risk losing their power while solo players must prove they can be team players or lose their chance at the winnings.
