FAQ and Context

Who was Hana Kimura?

Hana Kimura was a Japanese pro wrestler best known for her work with Stardom and her appearance on the Netflix reality series Terrace House. She debuted in 2016 and quickly became one of the most charismatic young talents in joshi wrestling, leading the Tokyo Cyber Squad faction. She passed away in May 2020 at just 22, and her death prompted widespread conversations in Japan around online harassment, eventually leading to changes in Japanese law on cyberbullying.

Will there be another one in 2027?

Almost certainly. The memorial has run annually since 2021 and has become a fixture on the Japanese independent calendar, so expect it to land around the same time next May.
