Mick Foley says he’s ‘very happy’ following meeting with Hollywood executive

One of Mick Foley’s stories might become a movie.

On social media, the WWE Hall of Famer announced he recently had a meeting with a Hollywood executive regarding one of his stories. He pointed out that this is not in relation to a biopic that is also in the works.

“I’m very happy about my meeting with a top Hollywood exec about turning one of my stories into a movie. This is a separate project from the biopic that’s in the works – a unique story based on real life experiences. I might even get to portray myself!,” he wrote.

In a recent interview, actor and Golden Globe winner Paul Walter Hauser revealed that he was officially attached to play Foley in a limited series. That project is still in early development and has not been sold to a network.

Foley made news late last year by officially distancing himself from WWE, saying he would not renew his Legends contract due to the company’s ties to President Donald Trump. Foley made that decision citing his administration’s treatment of immigrants and Trump’s reaction to the death of director Rob Reiner, which he called “incredibly cruel.”
