New Interim MLP Canadian Champion crowned

Stu Grayson has defeated five other competitors to crown himself the new interim MLP Canadian champion.

In the main event of the night, Grayson won a six-person Gauntlet match against Jonathan Gresham, Rohan Raja, Rich Swann, Michael Oku, and Jay Lethal to win the championship.

The gauntlet match began with Lethal and Oku. Oku got the first victory, countering Lethal’s top rope elbow with a crucifix pin, eliminating Lethal. Rohan Raja was next, who quickly eliminated Oku.

Rich Swann was the fourth entrant. Raja would eliminate him with a leaping downward spiral, leading to Grayson’s entrance.

Grayson eliminated Raja with the Knightfall. Gresham was the final man out. Grayson outlasted him to win the interim title.

Josh Alexander is the current title holder but is set to undergo surgery. There is currently no confirmed timeline for Alexander’s return, which led to MLP crowning a new interim champion.

TNA’s Steve Maclin was previously scheduled to be a part of the show but had to be replaced after suffering a concussion scare. He was replaced by Oku in the gauntlet match.
