News notes: Charlotte Flair, NWA Power & AEW Dark, more

WWE --

- On last night’s Raw, it was announced that Charlotte Flair will be an entrant in next month’s women’s Royal Rumble match. She’s the first wrestler to be confirmed for either Royal Rumble. The PPV is taking place at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas on January 26.

- After losing to Charlotte on last Monday's Raw, Chelsea Green was in action on this week’s Main Event tapings. She defeated Sarah Logan.

- The WWE Performance Center’s YouTube channel uploaded a video on Green and Deonna Purrazzo and their Raw appearances.

- Independent wrestlers Eric James and Karissa Rivera were extras during the Bobby Lashley/Lana wedding angle on Raw last night, while the person officiating the wedding was an actor named Rick Malone.

- 24/7 Champion R-Truth is in Times Square for “FOX’s New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey” tonight. The Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler match that will air on the broadcast was taped after last week’s SmackDown in Detroit, Michigan.

- Sports Illustrated named Becky Lynch their women’s wrestler of the year.

- CM Punk tweeted yesterday that his next appearance on WWE Backstage will be on January 21.

- With today being New Year’s Eve, this week's NWA Power episode will instead premiere tomorrow at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

AEW --

- Tonight’s AEW Dark is a Year in Review episode featuring matches from Dynamite.

ROH --

- The Briscoes vs. LifeBlood (Mark Haskins & Tracy Williams) vs. Jeff Cobb & Dan Maff is set for ROH’s Saturday Night at Center Stage show on January 11. The Briscoes will face Dalton Castle & Joe Hendry at Honor Reigns Supreme the next night.

- ROH will stream last month’s Final Battle pay-per-view for free on their YouTube channel at 2 p.m. Eastern time tomorrow.

MLW --

- Dominic Garrini vs. Zenshi has been added to MLW’s Zero Hour tapings in North Richland Hills, Texas on January 11.

- The Dallas Morning News has a story on Ross & Marshall Von Erich.
