Nixon Newell & Miranda Alize announce engagement
Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize are engaged.
On social media, Alize made the announcement while posting a photo showing off what appeared to be an engagement ring.
“Happy 4th of July,” she wrote. “Im engaged.”
Those congratulating the couple on social media included Eddie Kingston, Raquel Rodriguez, Ivar, and the former Dakota Kai.
A controversial AEW exit
Newell recently wrestled in WWE under the name Tegan Nox. After her release in 2024, she continued to make appearances on the independent circuit while teaming with Alize, who has previously wrestled in Ring of Honor.
The two gained notoriety last November after they chose not to compete in a match that was set to take place during AEW Collision. They reportedly were set to lose to Tay Melo and Anna Jay. Hyan and Maya World worked the match instead and were later officially signed, working in undercard matches both in AEW and in Ring of Honor.
In a later interview, Newell said she thought the door to a potential AEW return wasn’t closed.
World has recently gained momentum by participating in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament as a last-minute replacement, reaching the finals before ultimately losing to Mercedes Mone at Forbidden Door.
