Five years after the first edition of the event was held, NWA Empower is set to make its return.

The NWA announced today that Empower 2026 will take place from Sevierville, Tennessee on Friday, August 28. Streaming live on the NWA’s YouTube channel for free, the women’s-focused event is being presented in collaboration with Kross Fire Wrestling, an indie promotion that’s owned by NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions Kenzie & Kylie Paige.

β€œThe inspiration for NWA Empower was always about providing a platform for those who need to be heard from, and loudly,” NWA President Billy Corgan said. “And who better than Kylie and Kenzie Paige, NWA champions in their own right, to steward and promote the return of this historic event as the owner-operators of Kross Fire Wrestling. Where together they’ve booked the card and the show, and present it proudly under the vaunted aegis of the National Wrestling Alliance, and we hope you will all join us!”

Kenzie & Kylie Paige, NWA Women’s World Champion Tiffany Nieves, and NWA Women’s TV Champion Gisele Shaw are among the names advertised for the show, along with Effy, Carson Bartholomew Drake, and Sirena Veil.

When Empower first took place in 2021, it was an all-women’s pay-per-view where Mickie James served as the executive producer. The event did not return the following year, with Corgan saying that — since WWE and AEW had so many names under contract — there wasn’t enough female talent available for the PPV to be a success.

The NWA also has its 78th anniversary show coming up soon. WWE wrestler Nattie is among the names set for that July 25 event, which is being filmed for future episodes of NWA Power.
